The Argos caves are a major tourist attraction for the area, stretching for miles in a vast, underground network. The larger, and safer caves and tunnels are marked for tour groups, which run regularly, twice a day, through the summer season, and twice a week through the rest of the year, except for bookings. Most of the caves are off-limits, due to instability in the ground. An information center sits at the edge of the parking lot, in front of the path leading to the caves themselves. The entrance itself is fenced off, and the gate is locked to keep mischievous kids away.
