Your characters health level, status, equipment, skills, and any other important information can be found in the Profile board after you register.
Your health level will be measured thus:
Danger(Near death)
Warning(Badly hurt)
Caution (Injured)
Fine(Uninjured)
The more injured you are, the less effectively you'll be able to move, fight, or do much of anything. If you are in Danger, you will not be able to move any faster than a slow stagger without help.
There are also a variety of conditions in the game, most of which are not good. Some conditions will wear off after a time, but most require some kind of counter-measure. Listed below are the conditions, their effects, and their cures:
Poison - Slowly drains health. Can be cured with blue herbs, anti-toxins, or you can wait it out (not reccommended).
Bleeding - You slowly lose health and blood, leaving a trail. Kills faster than poison. Can be cured with a mixed herb (green and red) or a hemostat. Bandaging is a temporary solution.
Infected- You are infected with some form of the virus. Will (after a time) turn you into a zombie or some other creature. Slow acting, but can only be cured with an anti-virus (very rare). Some medicines can slow the effect.
Combat is a relatively simple matter, and there are very few rule pertaining to it. You simple say what you want to do, and you can either decide what the enemy does yourself (if it is a minor enemy, and not in a key encounter), or a Game Master (me) will tell what your opponent does. Please note that I will have final say in all combat results, and if I think what you say is 'unrealistic', than I'll change it.
After combat, I will update your condition and health level as nessicary.
